That bleh moment when you're trying to think of your tail design, but someone already has your dream tail :sad eyes:
Eh, I'm sure my tastes will change once the time comes for me to seriously start thinking about it
^^ happened to me too and it just forced me to become a little more creative in my selections and colors and actually led to something way more awesome than my original "dream tail". I feel certain something similar will happen as you develop your new design...plus yeah, the more new tails and tailmaker innovations you see the more your tastes and desires for what your perfect tail consists of will evolve.
SO many mers have similar inspirations or color schemes but end up with two totally different and unique tails! I know multiple people who's tails were inspired by peacocks like mine, yet none of ours look the same!:)
Thanks guys :) You both have absolutely gorgeous tails! I'l just keep on keeping on. Currently I'm trying to squish three tails into one haha ~
I think my biggest issue is that my inspiration is a more popular tail, and I'm afraid that if my tail resembles said tail, people are going to tear me down for it
@Kalani Don't worry!! I think Raina said once, it's not the tail, it's the mer who wears it. Just look at all the different unique and beautiful mers with Little Mermaid and Splash replica tails!! Or all the Beautiful Fin fun mers!! <33
That awkward moment when you're swimming with your best Mer friend and two girls see you from across the pool and you hear them saying loudly to each other. "OH MY GOD!!! Look at the whales!!!" -_- :P
My first swim with Mermaid Leina was defiantly memorable!
Missed opportunity to go "oh look two public pool bitches!"
but I am just so malicious.
That awkward moment when you show up at your aunts to do a photoshoot in her pool, only to find out your cousin is over unexpectedly with her friend and you're holding fabric, a monofin, and a camera and get to explain what you do for a living. xD
"Too old?"

King Triton is not amused.
You are never too old to realize your dream. An old granny on Patch Adams (movie inspired by true life) swam in sketti. Another guy wanted to go on Safari and Patch brought in balloon animals and darts. And there are so many more stories out there, I'm sure. It's a pet peeve of mine when older folks say, "I'm too old to..." or "you're too young to..." They are selling themselves and/or others short. It's so sad!
Nice picture of King Triton! I'm not amused either. :)
TAMW...
I was hanging off the boom and when the lifeguard crossed halfway and walked away. Then he crossed the whole thing and I kinda lunged at him from the water, arms about to grab his legs, "Hey! Hey! What's the time?"
It looked like I gave him a scare cos he nearly fell into the water on the other side of the barrier!
hehe!
I sometimes get an uncontrollable urge to pull the surface kickers under.
Especially if it's loudly screaming kids in one of the quiet relaxation pools :p
I did it only once for real though.
It was dark already. Kids should be in bed at night, not in pools! :cthulhu:
TAMW one is enjoying the hot bath that is the Wave Pool (they had the lanes put in), and two groups of learn to swim kids show up on the far side of the pool.
TAMW one thinks, "Omg! I'm not going there... So thirsty... No more fish slaps and handstands..."
TAMW one approaches the other side and can hear underwater, "Look! Look!" "Its real! Its real!"
TAMW the lady swim teacher says, "Ooo! There's a mermaid in here with us!"
TAMW one swims back to the other side and stays there until all the kids leave.
TamW you want to do a topless mermaid tub shoot because it's cool but know all your friends will see your boobies. None have ever seen my boobies except in a nude bra
So what? They're just bewbies! DO IT!
To BOOBIE or not to BOOBIE. That is the question.
Ok boobie.
