Aww that sucks Arion, I'm sorry :( but good things come to those who wait ;) I'm sure there will be something waiting around the corner.
My dream is to live there as well Sirenia so hopefully I'll see you there! ;D
my boyfriend and I will be in Hawaii in March for our anniversary (Oahu and Kona, Big Island). I'm super excited to stop by and see Abby and Bryn, hopefully get some photos done too! :D
Lorelei, I live on Oahu, along with Storm and some other awesome fishes. Be sure to hit me up when your here and you can join us for a pod swim and good eats. :-)
That sounds like so much fun Harmony! :D If everything goes well, I'll be in Oahu March 18-21 and then after that I'll be in Kona until the 25th.
I'll be sure the message you around the first of March and we can maybe get something going because that sounds amazing~!
I'm already so excited and it's still 5 months away. Ugh! XD
Eeee so happy for the girls! I've never been to Hawaii, but I can only imagine. I'd love to make it out there some day.
I really love vacationing in Hawaii; it's a scenery and wildlife lover's paradise! I wouldn't want to live there, though. There are many challenges that come with life on an island. Traffic is horrendous, everything costs more, hurricanes are a yearly threat, it's a longgg way to visit mainland relatives, and many mainlanders who move there end up with serious cabin fever. I have friends who lived on Hawaii, then moved back to Missouri because they just felt too confined on an island. Mind you, I'm not knocking the Hawaiian islands; they are my favorite travel destination on the planet! Moving there is just more of an adjustment than one might suppose.
My brother moved to hawaii but moved back a short while after because he hated that it would rain every single day.
Arion, the cold winters in Minnesota are hard on their materials- silicone I believe doesn't cure well in the cold, and things like molds and paints also don't benefit from low temperatures. By moving to a warmer climate they'll be able to work during the winter :)
One of my best friends lives in Minnesota and I've visited a few times, she always is telling me stories about how cold the winter gets. My god, I would not survive there in winter I know it. XD
As for Hawaii, the rain (that I've experienced) is really warm, I think it was one of the oddest experiences I ever had there. I already love the rain (I was known in high school as the girl who would come in to class soaked when it rained) and to experience a warm verison of it was amazing, but then again adored every minute of being in Hawaii. That was 9 years ago though. ><
So it's super warm there in spite of the rain??
WHAAAA gosh I'm so freakin' jealous!:cry:
I live in Germany and I HATE it.
It's like always rainy, cold and the sky is grey.
I don't like grey at all
So glad to see they made it safely!
Also, I made a promise on my Facebook page that when I hit 700 fans, I would post a hint about my new tail design. Here's the first hint, for those of you interested. :P
Hint 1 - Lots of purple!!
It's hard to believe I'll have my tail in two months! It seems so close and so far at the same time. I'm totally nervous about it too. What is my design doesn't look right on the actual tail? What if I don't like the trainer fin? What if my measurements were wrong? What if it looks TOTALLY different in photos and when I get it the colors are wrong? GAH! Need to stop worrying!
Question abtou paint jobs though- did you guys get paint photo updates or was it just like TA-DAAAAAH, it's done!
Don't worry maressa! I know your tail will look beautiful.
