Merin, even with its deteriorated quality, that tail still looks quite fine. The dorsal in particular reminds me of those fighting fish one sees packaged individually and makes you look very much like an authentic fish in terms of movement, too.
Also, that choice of musical accompaniment took me back to the halcyon days of 1999! Ah, S Club 7: Simon Fuller's vengeance upon the Spice Girls in the days before American Idol....
Hahaha! When I asked Diona what sort of music she wanted with it, she had no idea, so I started playing all of my older, upbeat music, and she loved the song and the message (about rising above trials and just being yourself no matter what naysayers think).
Thank you! There is one shot where you can clearly see where the paint was not added / is wearing off but it still moves beautifully in the water. She had to be careful with her powerful kicks though, because both the dorsal and another side fin fall off more with each swim. Still, it's got some beautiful form and flow in the water! Very happy with the look in water, despite the physical flaws and in some cases limitations they put on the mermaids. Once we get it fixed up, it'll be amazing!
