I would agree it's hard to make/see accurate koi fish tails. They do sometimes really look like cows with orange spots thrown in there.

Question: are you allowed to order multiple tails at once? Would you get them at the same time, or could she finish one and send it, then start the other and send it seperately?
Also, when she sends extra goodies with your tail, do people choose them, or does she just send whatever she thinks you'd like?
I don't know about the multiple tails, but I know the extra goodies are usually a surprise. Like my scale bracelet. I had no idea she gave me one. :-) I love it though! ^-^
I'm pretty sure you can order multiple at once. Wasn't there already that order of two golden tails she uploaded a photo of?
Extra tails = yes, but only when she's able to. She's done clients who have ordered several tails for their companies. But it all comes down to timelines. The goodies are free goodies she gives when she *has* them and generally to say thank you to a client for being extra flexible or patient. Don' expect them, but if you get em, yay!Quote:

I only say it because people have gotten angry with her for not giving extras without realizing she had no time for extras and none to give.

I'm sure there is. I've modified post-backs to hook backs before because of historical costuming. I'm sure there's a way to modify hook-backs to clip-ons if you can find the right clip-on base.
I can't believe people get angry about it. I wasn't expecting anything at all, I've just seen them in unboxing videos and was wondering how it worked. Geez, how ungrateful do you have to be to be to get mad about something so dumb when this girl worked her tail off just to make sure you had one?

It's quite easy to modify earrings to fit non-pierced ears! I have done it myself, either from pierced to clip, and even clip to pierced. You simply need to remove the old ear wire, then attach the earring to a non-pierced base. I've never asked her myself, but from what I've seen I feel like she really enjoys the work that she does - both the custom and more basic tails. As with any artist, creativity and design are lots of fun, but I can see the merit and enjoyment of bringing a basic tail design to life and putting in that extra Raven charm to make it wonderful. I'm sure there are favorite projects and designs she's worked on, too. I suppose we won't know which ones she likes to do "more" until someone asks her :)Quote:

She prefers doing the full silicone tails to the basic, because believe it or not the basics are a lot more work and time consuming. And she always prefers creative and unique ideas over just a basic colour scheme cuz she loves to be challenges and try to come up with something unique!

What are the prices right now? I've asked and looked around, but it seems like Raven changes the prices quite a bit. I've heard 1000 for basic and 3000 for performance, something for basic and 3500 for performance, and 1500 for basic and 2600 for performance.

Okay I need to vent, I'm really getting worried about my tail. Everytime I finally get a response from Raven she says she will have an update with photos "this weekend" and three weeks later and still nothing and I know she's really busy and I have been so patient and understanding but I order/paid and confirmed measurements on the 10 of aug last year and I have missed two mermaid events and a cosplay gathering because i still don't have my tail! Now I know getting an order is the hardest part as I have said so myself but I have been fussed around a lot with tail from Eric to fish butts twice! And the anxiety of it all Is getting to me and I am really worried! I don't won't to bother her again with an other email but I really would like to see that she has at least started it :( then I think I would be okay, but as I'm seen nothing I'm feeling kinda abandond!

I've been checking in with Raven as frequently as I can and I know she's just finishing up a batch of tails and then she's got another batch of 4 left before she's done all current orders. The tails get done in a group, so yours could be assembled but waiting to be painted etc. So don't fear. :) I know yours will be done soon. Keep in mind her company isn't just tail making, they do photoshoots for clients, and do performing as well. Raven is working harder to be better on the communication end of things, but when it comes down to it, she pretty much just works on the company 24/7 and only posts updates to FB etc after I give her a gentle push hahaha.
Now, I'm not gonna sit here and give you excuses or defend her. You paid mid august, it's been a long time I think you're well within your right to be getting anxious. I've been urging Raven to change her wait times to be more reflective of how long it's taking, but I believe that she's still aiming to always do within her estimate. But like it was said, she's not any of the tail makers who never delivers a tail or gives you a crappy product. So don't be scared that you're being scammed or duped. She cares too much to do that to people ;) I'm sorry you had those bad experiences, but I know she'll deliver and you'll be happy :)
There's a few others who ordered around the same time from the forum, so I'm sure you'll all be getting them together! It's okay to be scared and anxious, it's a lot of money, it's a long wait, and we have mermaid dreams! I just know Raven will deliver :) she wont run off with your money haha I promise. <3
I know how you feel I ordered my tail July 1st. I was told about getting photos before the big tail auction and still haven't heard anything. But you have to think that she's been doing all of these photo shoots and making not just tails but tops and doing gigs of her own. Worrying about it won't make the tail get done any faster so just take a deep breath and know you're not the only one waiting and it'll be ok :) it'll be worth the wait I'm sure!Quote:
