you might be on to something!
AniaR, that happened with them too? I didn't know that. :(
Also, what pink fluke? I don't remember seeing it.
It was this fluke! They haven't spoken about it since they posted it but I'm wondering if it's related to it! Attachment 39432

Oh yeah! I remember it now! It's so pretty.
It looks kinda thin to me. One person said maybe it would be partial silicone tails. I am thinking it could be thinner silicone tails similar to what MerNation started to make.
It would be super cool if it was a mermaid monofin but I doubt it is.
I wasn't too sure on posting that drama bit, but sadly it did. Although I haven't seen any more tails from them.
I remember thinking it was a kid's tail.
The fluke design is not available except to the ultra secret topic (Arion I think asked about it's availability in the comments section). That'd be cool if they had a cheaper line like Mernation but with just the two of them that's a heavy workload on top of an already heavy workload.
At least they'll announce within the next twenty-four hours though right?
(Also thanks Raina :jawdrop:, for just responding )
I think it might be a thinner silicone tail like what Mernation is doing. Tail of Art is going to be doing something like that as well starting December. Kariel announced it on her Facebook not too long ago.
I'm excited.
I had a pop up notification on Instagram telling me they posted something but when I clicked it, it didn't work! I thought they deleted it and I was like "ahh what a tease!" But then the post reappeared lol! *facepalm* I'm so antsy to know what they're revealing! [emoji177][emoji177][emoji177]

The new logo looks cool, perfect for Instagram. I hope they update their website as well.
But yeah this waiting is killing me!!!
This is their big announcement!!! This is a great option for those who are on a budget but want their quality and craftsmanship!

I wish I'd have the money for it now and not a year from now. I'm seriously fangirling over here.
It looks like Mer Coralia and other mers were right about them making a more affordable line for everyone who has dreamed of being a mermaid. I looked back at that first photo they posted months ago of the special fin and Merman Arion asked about its availability. They answered with "This fluke is currently exclusive to the superamazingtopsecret project!"
I did a comparison photo and it looks just like the 4th tail! They are a match!

My apologies on the diminished quality of the photo. Idk why it gets/looks distorted when I upload on tapatalk.

FYI the tails are 100% Dragonskin silicone for those who are wondering. They didn't put that in their original post.
I may have known... haha. We are hoping to have these amazing tails available at mermania for people to test out and order :)
Oh they're 100% silicone? In the comments they only specified the fluke and fins were all silicone but didn't mention the body of the tail. To me that implied they were hybrid tails.
Ah I didn't catch that.
This is so amazing! My friend REALLY wants to be a mermaid and this looks like a great thing for her!!!!
It will be interesting to see what they are rolling out...I wish they had complete information before posting, though...so many questions!
Okay so $699 is the tail price, but I wonder what shipping would be?
Aw man I MIGHT need one of these... guys this won't be good for my bank account.
I had a bit of a laugh because i remember emailing tail makers asking if they could do a silicone fin with a fabric base hybrid tail for a cheaper price XD no one got back to me. So this is exciting!!! Im most likely going to be able to afford a second tail now! Also if the body isnt silicone that would make it easier to put on and light to carry. AHHH just so exciting.
Right?! lol
I keep going back and forth between wanting to make or buy a tail. If I buy all the tail makers out there are already making my future decision REALLY difficult.
I think the body of those tails is definitely more than fabric. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see raised scales.
could it be a neoprene base? with silicone or latex on top? I am so excited. Now I will have to get another :yay:
Or maybe a fabric base? Like that time when someone took a Finfun tail and covered it in silicone?
The scales in the fluke sneak peak look like they're raised silicone so I'm personally going with the neoprene silicone theory.
No neoprene as far as I know. And it's an intentional individual scale look ;)
I think it's actually something brand new in the industry what they're planning/done. So when they come out with more info shortly, you'll see :D
I'm even more curious now. 0.0
This is definitely pushing me more towards buying a lower cost silicone tail because of how amazing they look!

It looks like sequins to me. I doubt it's full silicon though; part of me also hopes it's not.
I can't wait for all the new info, plus their new website <3
Eek! So many cool things coming!
Sequins makes sense actually. They did a sequin collaboration a while ago, right?
Oh, gotcha.
It's not sequins ;)Quote:

I think this is a pretty good hint. :p
Edit: was reading some comments on facebook and check out these comments:

The flukes and fins are 100% Dragonskin silicone. We will have full descriptions on the website later this week.
Hmm...Warmer to swim in...Quote:
For anyone that wants to know, I got to see these bad boys in Mexico. They're beautiful, easier to get into, probably warmer to swim in, and look amazing underwater!!!
Wah. I hate this waiting game.
I knew about the flukes and fins being silicone but the main body isn't, right? Least we're getting answers sometime this week.
Whatever they've done, it's hopefully easier than the "normal" process of their full silicone tails. Easier on them, I mean. That was my first thought after seeing the price.
Good things come to those who wait I guess...

Saw this on Savannah Bridges insta. She was the photographer with them and thehouseofflynn in Mexico I believe. Looks like it's a photo of Finfolk's new hybrid tail in water!

Whatever it is, I want it. It's beautiful, and since the wait list is over a year for a custom and over $3k usually, this is an EXCELLENT move and I'm very excited.
