Ginger something-or-other. It's not there any more. I hope the poster re-enters with a design of her own, because she obviously has an eye for pleasing colour combinations!

Cara helped me to bring it to their attention so it is all dealt with now :) I'm glad that Magictail took it down. And so quickly too!
I still don't like that part of the terms of entering states that everything you submit becomes their property to profit from into the future!
Ironic that they don't want any stolen designs, when that's what they are doing when you send your designs to them. No one reads the fine print. :soap box:
but it's not stolen if it is freely given.
kind of like that old show "Who wants to be a superhero", you submit your own super hero character to Stan Lee and co, spend time as that hero etc. Thing is, just submitting a hero means you give that idea and concept to Stan Lee/Marvel/SciFi for forever, even if you never got air time.
In this day and age it's pretty much a given that if you submit art for a contest, it no longer belongs to you.
I understand that it is how you explained. However, it's all kinds of lazy from my point of view.
When I see a contest that states that anything submitted stops being my own, I read it as "We need a new design/idea/character/whatever but we do not have any idea of our own, so we are allowing you people (hopefully in the hundreds or thousands) to submit your ideas. When we have found one that we like, and it probably will happen just for all the participation, it belongs to us. We will give you a token (something that is petty cash for us) and we will profit for years (in the thousands) from your thinking."
I don't mind submitting a design for others to use, but the copyright remains with me - to do nothing with it, or maybe to do something. One never knows.
Most literature contests that I have wanted to participate had the same requirements of copyright transfer. Sorry, if I wrote the novel, it is mine. You may publish it and take a percentage of the money made, or make a movie. But the characters and the story are mine forever, and I get to decide what happens with them.
Yeah the same is true for screenplays. I've looked into many competitions and said no to all of them for that reason. I'd have to write something that I know from the beginning is meant for a competition, so I intend from the beginning to hand over copyright. Sometimes the exchange is worth it for credit and notoriety, but it entirely depends on the exposure you get.
Keep calm and listen to "Part of Your World" ;)

Awesome!!! That's cool that you're sending in a bra. Skyping the measurements is a good idea... I've been kinda stressed about that myself. Supposedly my tail will be done by January 2, but I feel like I would have heard something about it getting started... I'm trying not to be worried. I have my design all done :) Attachment 25422Attachment 25423
Now I remember seeing that design! Wow, Maressa @-@ I don't know how people like you can come up with such gorgeous works of art. I feel like my tail is so plain now. XD I seriously can't wait to see it come to life, hopefully soon. :) I'm putting trust in the twins that they will pull through soon and not disappoint with the new upcoming works. I'm just so impatient to get started already. >.<
