I had a dry event this evening, and my parents came to see me. They brought Jack, our dopey 8yo Golden Retriever. I was excited for puppy loves. He wasn't sure about the tail.

I was thinking about how being a mermaid means no cellulite on your legs.
Then I thought about all those little knicks and scrapes that can sometimes come with heavy use of a tail.
I've dubbed those tiny imperfections as shellulite in case anyone ever asks about them during a gig, and I haven't stopped laughing about it all morning 😂 😂 😂

I love my job. Today some lifeguards were doing an inservice to make up for missed ones. During the second senerio I got to play victim for a complicated rescue. Two of us were to drown, I was an active drowner, the other guy was a spinal because we went off the diving board together. The closest lifeguard went to the other guy first, and so a guard who served as a break guard who rushes out during an emergency jumped in without a tube to rescue me. Well she quickly learned that was a mistake because I climbed on top of her to get air and pushed her down. Eventually the other lifeguard with a tube came over to get me but he did the rescue wrong and I started to drown him too. After submerging him a few times he finally rescued me (incorrectly) and took me to the wall. However I was so worn out (acting) that I couldn't grab on and started growing again.

I've been a bit absent with illnesses and life busyness (laptop also oozing green goo), but I'm back.
But my partner and I are finally going to start our own business :D We have a name, a goal and a list of things we want to sell. Going to start online and then hopefully move on to fairs, festivals and conventions.
