Because you know I'd kick your ass. :mermaid kiss:
Lahve yoooo!
Venting frustrations comment here, when others like you get your tail in a twist what can ya do than just sit quietly and wait for the storm to pass
I was snorkeling about happily and then completely out of the blue this middle-aged woman starts shouting at me, something about lanes... in the one area of the pool that isn't divided into lanes. D'uh! And she couldn't wait for me to surface first either, had to shout at me while I was under. She just came at me, barking. And then when I Ieft the pool, steaming, she kept on yelling at me that she didn't mean that I had to leave. Was that supposed to be an apology? Jeepers! She could have waited a minute or two for me to surface. Then approached me like "excuse me, but could you please stick to this side of the pool area" and pointed it out to me. No shouting necessary. I would gladly have listened to her if she had been polite and civil.
When I was first monofinning I was worried about "getting in someone else's lane" too, and likewise the pool wasn't laned off in that section. Were you monofinning? Those things can freak out some swimmers....
That extremely frustrating moment when you try on the sequin tail you've been working on and realize it's to big because of suddenly dropping 30+ lbs (pounds) due to being extremely ill :(
Thankfully I'm still only in the ankle area. So I can still take it in really easily, but it's still as frustrating as trying to swim against a current. Now to decide if I'm going to take it in or leave it as is in case I put the weight back on when I'm fully recovered -insert frustrated sigh here-
No, just snorkeling. At the swimming hall, there's this big pool that's mostly divided into lanes. The area I was in is two lanes wide (without lane separators unlike the rest of the pool) but only half the length of the pool. It's this corner that is usually used for exercise classes (think aerobics in the water) with loud music and someone leading the class. But between the classes, it's mostly this quiet and empty pool corner. That's why I've been using it, to do my thing in peace. Then this other woman (another customer) shows up and starts imposing her own rules (if you yell at someone, it's not a request. You're issuing an order. In my book, only staff have the right to start yelling orders.) The funny thing is, in the absence of a class there are no specific rules regarding this pool area. People can just use it freely. I was there before her, and when she showed up I figured one more person can't hurt. I tried to give her space to do her thing, but I guess it wasn't enough. She had to invade my personal space and give me a freak out while I was head down in the water. Don't people realise how vulnerable you feel when you're under and somebody comes at you like a frigging fury?
I would say leave it. If it's too big when you're done I think taking in is still easier than letting out right?

Kind of, not really. I'd have to pull a ton of sequins off to take it in, then re-sew them on
Ugh yeah. That's true

I say leave it be for now. Wait until you're 100% again. You may not put all the weight back on but you will put some of it back on. Good lick and hope you feel better soon Morticia.
Ahhh! Can I add my own complaint to the thread? Bf left the empty glass fishbowl on top of the toilet seat after his shower this morning. So, of course, when I woke up needing to do my business, I smashed the bowl with the lid and cut my finger. :/ Cleaned up the glass already and sent a message to him, but have not heard back yet. Ruminating on all of the other stuff that (does not) get done around here, like cleaning out the garage. I am so in the "if you're not going to bother, why should I?" mood right now. Seriously. I'm thinking that I need a nice clean blanket more than he needs clean work clothes tomorrow.
do it. boy needs to learn a lesson.
Its only the first day of school and yet already I just want to pull my scales off. I feel like I am the dumbest person in all my classes. And I've only had TWO classes today. You know how they do the whole introduce yourself on the first day thing? Everyone literally went all out, talking about their accomplishments, awards, and everything they've done and im just sitting there like "I like to play games...." :( then later on I find out that the class I was most looking forward to (it was another screenwriting class which is what I what to focus on) was changed and now I can't take it and have to drop the course. BUT the thing is, I literally cannot take another course in its place because every other class is either something that conflicts with my current schedule or something that I haven't done a prerequisite for yet and I HAVE to have a certain number credits for my scholarship to pay for my classes and...ugh. I really don't know what to do. I considered just withdrawing from all my classes and skipping this semester but im not comfortable with that. I just want to crawl in a hole melt into nothing >_< this isn't even half of all the problems I've experienced today. I am just sooooooo ugh right now.
Does your school (sounds like a college?) offer independent learning contracts? If it does I'd say try to work out one of those. Or maybe an online course?
I'm so tired of my pain. I know that it isn't anything compared to what others go through on a daily basis. I've had a severe muscle pain in my right rib for the past two and a half weeks. It hurts when I bend, twist, look down, breathe, sit, stand, roll over in bed, just all the time. The doctor gave me a muscle relaxer which as far as I can tell, helps me sleep but not much more, and a useless pain gel. She told me to stop taking oral painkillers, advice which I've ignored because I have no other choice. My chest X-ray came back clear so I know it's either muscle or a pinched nerve. I'm supposed to have a follow up on Wednesday. I might just go to the ER tomorrow.
Also, having all my stitches slowly unravelling in my mouth is annoying as hell. They come loose when I eat or brush my teeth and I have to trim them carefully without pulling on them.
Omg. Didn't hear anything all day. Just say sorry! Right? Well, he finally came home at about 10 last night after being out with friends all day (one of whom lives out of state). He brought me FOUR boxes of Dove double chocolate ice cream bars!!! Apology accepted! XD
Why does everyone call the caudal a fluke? I haven't seen anyone yet make a fluke.
I'm not pushing for a change, just don't get it.
Sharks, Dophlins, Whales = Fluke Fin "Fiberish mated material covered with Skin. Fish, except sharks= Caudal Fin "Rays of bones spreading out from the tail to the Fin edge and covered with skin."

Humm?
I think it's a combination of fluke being a more recognized word, mermaids tails go up and down, and it's shorter to say.

Sorry but 90% of tail designs look like flukes to me. But you know since we make mers up I think they can be whatever the f we want ;)
