I'm not sure if there is a thread for this already, but I'm just getting started and I was thinking of doing some events for free. I'd like to maybe work with some foster homes or orphanages or daycares. How did you start mermaiding? What kind of charity events did you do?
I have started a team for the Making Strides against breast cancer walk charlotte in October. My tail has the breast cancer awareness ribbon on it.
Also I'm volunteering my time to visit a swim camp weekly on Thursdays through the summer at one of the largest YMCAs in Charlotte. Attachment 29895

We recently started a Mer-group and our first public event we volunteered for Dolphin Day. So many kids, just make sure you don't get overwhelmed and have someone with legs to help if need be :).

Our first event is at the library. They're having a day to open their summer program so there will be superheros and two mermaids to meet kids and take pictures!
