new to all this
hey! i'm new to all this. call me just call me pearly or katja, whichever one works. i'm from jacksonville, florida. 21, graduated from high school but not college (i couldn't manage it), nonbinary. use they/them/theirs pronouns please! democratic, pro-choice, anti-cap, anti-gmo- i'm a self taught wiccan, though sadly not practicing due to the fact my community is unaccepting.
i have a number of medical disorders- type 2 diabetes, celiac disease, hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, and autim spectrum disorder. i'm hoping to get into mermaiding so as to improve my self confidence and physical fitness. i've always enjoyed swimming, just never been able to find much practical use for it until now.

Welcome! We have a ton of members who have found that mermaiding and being in touch with the community helps ease their medical disorders. We also have a few wiccans I believe, you'll fit in just fine :)

thanks everyone. i'm definitely starting off with a fabric tail once i save up the money, since i can't afford silicone and am not sure if such a heavy thing is a good idea for me.
in the meantime, i'm having trouble finding a public pool that's open more than 3 to 5 more days so- how am i supposed to practice? I don't have access to any private or semi-private pools.
