It is a cool picture. I'm not sure how I usually feel about merfolk in artificial bodies of water (though most sandy beaches would probably count as such, particularly along the u.s. coasts, come to think of it) but you have a talent for making your characters seem to naturally fit into their settings that I am envious of.
