Mahina Mermaid Monofin
I purchased the Mahina Monofin in May of this year, due to an early winter season I didn't have an opportunity to wear the monofin when it first came home, I waited and I waited and finally on the 11th of October I was able to wear my Mahina Monofin for the first time, since my first wear I've had many opportunities even till today every Sunday for an hour or two to wear this monofin at my local beach.
My only little niggle with the monofin is when you propel yourself out of the water the monofin has the tendency to slip off from my feet and due to no half sizes what I have is the best I can wear for my size.
It is really natural and when you want bullet speed, the monofin goes quite the distance surfaced and underwater and a great monofin to wear. I am blister prone and it says a lot how good this tail is and I haven't had any blisters at all.
I'm very pleased for my first purchase.
Thanks Mahina.

Huzzah! It also helps to wear 2mm neoprene socks if the fin slides off a lot.

I actually wore one of those stretchy ankle braces that look like an ace bandage material sewed to slip onto your foot. It covered the heel and ankle of my odd sized foot to add a little snugness and prevent rubbing. I bought the large Mahina Monofin, I wear an 8.5 to 9 in US women's sizes. It is a good fin! I raced my friend who had a full Merbella tail and beat her hehehe. It's fast as heck. My daughter also has one of the junior Mahina and loves it.

Yep! Tail swimming, no matter what material is always slower than fin swimming.
