Not sure if I've ever introduced myself...so...here it goes!
Hey everymer! I have been a member of MerNetwork for a while, I just don't think I've actually introduced myself just yet, so...here's it goes!
If I could...I'd trade my legs for a tail fin. Ever since I was a young boy, I had always been interested in Mermaids. I knew every word to The Little Mermaid by the time I was 5 and I had already been making mermaid tails on barbie dolls with duct tape and leaves. When I was about six I made my first tail out of fabric, lace and some little swim fins my grandmother had given to me...so, I guess you could call me a Mer to some extent.
Growing up my parents couldn't keep me out of the water. We had a hot tub on our back deck, and when I was 10...I made a tail out of duct tape, as close to the one from Splash as I could and I filled the hot tub up and played out the scene when she climbed into the bath tub hahaha that's a little embarrassing to be honest.
Right now, I am in the process of making two tails! I have put mine on hold to make my friend Cindie's tail for an Art Walk this summer, where my tails will be showcased! Hers will be a spandex/latex hybrid tail and so far, even though it's just in the beginning stages, it's turning out nicely!
