Neoprene tails
Neoprene tails seem to be going out of style for purchase, but I know that there are a lot of folk who make them. The problem is that I can't sew (and by can't, i mean CAN'T - I've tried lots, and failed lots, my dysgraphia kicks in, and it is a patchwork disaster). I can, however, paint. Beautifully. So, I am leaning towards neoprene because I'll be able to paint it exactly how I want it (see guppy below), and make it look amazing- as long as I can find a good, solid, neoprene tail that I can buy. I've gone through the supplier threads, and I've noticed that many makers have been changing their focus to silicone. Outside of Otter Bay, are there any US makers that still focus on neoprene tails that I may be able to purchase an unpainted tail from?

Try calling wetsuit makers in your country. You know the ones that do custom wetsuits. I'd say get one in a yellow or white base color, as it is easier to paint dark colors onto a light fabric than the other way round.

I believe Mermaid Morticia may do unpainted neoprene tails but i'm not sure. Also, Anita Mermaid may be offering tails, she does great neoprene ones but I'm not sure what her current availability is.
