Not sure whether to laugh or cry...
I know, right????
I guess it's sort of like roadkill. If you look at it from the perspective of "at least it takes the stupid ones out of the gene pool" then it's alright then. ;)
Well, I ummm....*cough* I hope that....worked out for her?
<.<
>.>
I don't even know what to say about this...other than I hope that this girl (as slightly delusional as she may be) never looses her belief in magic and...blind trust in trolls on the internet
You can see at least half a dozen of these questions daily at Yahoo Answers. At first I used to clicked on them, but I don't bother anymore. I wonder if it is always the same people trying to be funny or what.
I really hope these kind of questions are not serious and it's about people trolling, but I have my doubts.
"Top-rated answer" is a suicide instruction? ...
well, the numbers of humanity DO have to be lessened SOMEHOW I guess
I'm speechless

I get thes eemails daily.
It might teach the youngsters to start thinking for themselves, and not just blindly believing into anything other (or older) people tell them.
For example; how do you know this spell works? Have you tried it out yourself, successfully? :p
Of course, they might lie.
That's why I always demanded to see proof if someone was trying to bs me with something without backing it up
(hint: religion :p)
I'm just baffled that this girl calls herself a witch and then asks for a transformation spell. I assume she's talking about wicca, and I'm not aware of any branch of that with anything like transformation (maybe some kind of meditation that lets you FEEL like something else, but nothing like this!) Maybe this is just some weird Harry Potter or H2O roleplay thats peeking out into the real world? Or at least as "real" as Yahoo Answers ever gets, heh.
There's no limit to human insanity, especially if you're 13 and your parents never instilled common sense into you.
As my grandfather would have said... she's so dumb that if you took her brains and shoved them up a gnat's ass, they would roll around like a BB in a box car!
Or as my grandfather would say, "If her brains were made of gunpowder, she couldn't blow her nose."
That reminds me of these from this website:

Sure Fire Way To Be A Mermaid
ok this may sound odd but bare with me and follow my instructions exactly.
Also you can only become a mermaid if you have a pure heart (so this may be a test for some) These ingredients are the closest to the ingredients needed. You should be able to find all this in any household.
you will need:
1 cup sea salt
1 cucumber
1/2 cup of tuna
3 sardines
1/2 cup of water
3 drops of food coloring (whatever you want your tail to be)
blend in a blender until smooth and creamy
spread on your legs and let sit for 30 mins while chanting the spell in mer-tongue

Beware Mer Spells
I am a half-born mermaid. It can be difficult to be a child of both worlds but the ocean is a fantastic place. I was on the shore last summer and met a human-born friend. I told her the truth about me and she wanted to be a mermaid too. She found a spell and tried using it but it backfired and the top half was fish. It took three months to reverse the spell and her mom was very worried about her. Be careful what spells you use.
Dis be why kids shouldn't have total unsupervised free reign on the intarwebz.
I've found that anytime I'm searching for anything mermaid related, I need to just ignore half the things on google, as they're mostly these type of questions (and usually on yahoo answers). These trolls, and the ones voting them as best answer, need to get a life. What kind of person sits and writes things like that?
Raina, you get emails asking about this kind of thing? O.o Uff, that's silly.
Caltuna: Amen, sister! Show me the proof. I have an open mind, but I'm skeptical until I have proof.
I get a little ticked off at all the young girls on youtube who post videos talking about "here's how to get your tail and mermaid powers!!!", but it's always, "I can't show you my tail or powers", or "I don't really want to cuz I'm shy". If you're not supposed to tell people you're a mermaid (which a lot of the "spells" say is a requirement), well then why are you broadcasting it all over the internet? If you're shy, why are you posting videos of yourself talking about how you're a real live mermaid? Guh.
Oh man...that reminds me of the batshit insane fan pages that populated the Internet back in the late 90's. remember that crazy gif-ridden stuff made by Webmonkey tutorials and general high school boredom? Yeah. This looks like it was borne out of Angelfire/Tripod's deepest, darkest bowels.
A lot of the more outrageous questions are asked by trolls, which at least let's me believe that not everyone is that stupid. You can usually check by looking at the other questions they might have asked.
Oh gosh that question...
I find that Yahoo answers/questions are mainly filled with troll questions. However, if I'm wrong and the asks/answers were serious, then I fear for humanity.
I think the question was asked by a child and the answer was given by someone who did not think that they could be helping a child to kill themself by accident
My parents taught me enough common sense to get the gist that stuff like this was make-believe by the time I was 5, certainly by 8. Definitely by the time most kids understand how to internet. What the hell, dudes O.o
You'd be surprised how many people I get on my witchcraft blog asking for mermaid transformation spells or spells to transform themselves into fairies or dragons or something. I usually ignore them and hope they're trolls but then there are the people who ask off anon and when I look at that blog I can tell they're totally serious :/
o.O Oh no... My cousin had told me something about this, but it was with vampires. Like, people she met seriously thought they were vampires, and they seriously thought she was like them (She had been doing something for Steampunk with her LARP persona). We thought it was her English at first when she told me, but then we looked at the website they asked her to visit... No, they were serious, we didn't misinterpret them. **facepalm**
Oh my gosh xD Yes, that photo sums things up nicely.
That's... well, wow. That's special right there. You only do that kind of research if you're writing about it and then you word it differently. .... >.>
There are many magick communities that actually practice magick as well as writing about it. So no, you can research for more than writing. In fact one would hope that an author is actually an expert in their subject matter instead of simply doing a researching project. Unfortunately, more and more, the people writing about things could not actually perform them if their life depended upon it.
Most people know that magick works within the confines of certain physical realities. Each of these realities must be tackled piece meal first before further progress is made. Yet and still such a transmogrification on the physical plane is beyond a lifetime given current physical and spiritual technologies.
You're right. I was thinking more from a personal perspective as being a writer (albeit unpublished).
I don't even know what to say to this. I'm sure someone was just trying to be funny, but still...
Thanks for this, Golden Pearl.
The world is a much stranger place than many people really want to believe. I think that's why the traditions that teach how to manipulate Qi, Prana, or whatever else you want to call the dual energies, insist on such discipline and secrecy. Every now and then, the veil gets pulled back, though. I thought maybe this video made by English documentary director Lawrence Blair might get people thinking outside the box.

Chang comes from a martial arts school of training. I happen to have been able to learn a small amount about another school of Qi work, white tigress, but that's something people will have to find out for themselves.
In all my studies, though, I have never come across anything where people have credibly claimed to change their bodies into another form, a la Harry Potter, those myths seem to have come from the pens of opponents, and fantasy writers. Note, though, that JK Rowling did insert references into her Harry Potter books to European masters of energy work from the past.
