So, I'm reading the books in the Lost Voices series. I'm wondering if anyone has seen any artwork of Luce? I'm trying to get a good visual of her but I'm having a hard time.

i don't know if this really helps, but: http://www.deviantart.com/?q=luce+lost+voices
I kinda pictures short dark hair kinda wavy, round face?
That did help, but I would like a better visual of her tail.
No one has really put out much artwork for the book
the tail is described as a cross between that of a snake and a fish so I assume the snake aspect comes from the length and way the tail may move
and the fish may come from the scale pattern and fins.
I kinda imagined something like an eel but with a fluke.

I Imagine something similar to this but i could be way off
I think you have the tail too dark - I think it is described as being almost a mint green, so much paler than that. But otherwise, that looks like my mental image, too. :)
Her skin is green too.
I kinda picture her as the author of the book. Coincidentally she also has short black hair and a round face.
how do we even say her name? Is it said like lucey or like luke or Loose or what
I always thought it was pronounced like "loose"
So I ended up going back thru the book and looking for the descriptive terms and here is what I got:
Slight greenish tone to their pearly skin
Naked
Silvery green tail, shimmering
Spiky short hair, she wanted to grow it longer but it didnt say how short it was.
Shimmering dreamlike memories around head
Not gonna lie but I hated the ending of the second book :( felt like crying lol
Really, I kept pronouncing her name LUCHE. "Lchette." or "loo-chay".
If there is a green tint to her skin, isn't it technically green anyway? I kinda imagine it greenish purple (If that's even possible) you know like when you're sick and kinda green in the face but purple because of the blood in your body? I dunno I'm wierd.Attachment 14520
I kinda imagine her to be more like this ish
The Think that i love about the mermaids in Lost Voices, is that they are technically dead.
I hate to make the vampire connection with mermaids but if any of us have seen Interview with the vampire I am consistently brought to the scene when Claudia Dies and become a vampire. she becomes a dazzling enthralling little creature akin to a porcelain doll
The Girls in Lost voices are similar. even though their bodies kinda turn to water and this make them mermaid it only happens because they reach a point where they are close to death and losing their lives but too strong to die. The shimmer that surrounds the girls heads tells stories of their tragic lives and their near death. you can even seen physical forms of their lives and near deaths. one of the mermaids that luce notices has a slight twist to her neck or something like that and others have the ghost of scars and such from what i gather. Its an interesting ideal to go with. and it hearken back to the stories of mermaids being the souls of woman who dawned at sea or unbaptized babies or woman who died unmarried and stuff like that. and it also give the story a very dark and kinda twisted vibe and i love it.
Yeah I was playin around with the grayish and glowing white tail colours but it didn't look right ;-; i wish it blended into the body more. Doesn't have that silver green that I was aiming for but eh close enough
I need to read the third =.=
I wonder if U could draw her? Maybe I'll do that lol
I love this story. It is so epic that it’s like Lord of the Rings but with mermaids.
Okay I get your view point then. I sure didn't want to spoil anything for you :)
I live for spoilers. Tell meeeee
