Me and my hubby <3 He's so shy when I'm in mer-mode this is the only photo I have of us together with me in tail!
Last night hubby took me out shopping, and bought me a TON of mermaid-related stuff. <3 I'll add the photos to the Off-Duty Style thread.
This morning, I made him Bacon Roses.

For my first Valentine's day as a couple, I bought a pretty rose and took a picture of it on my cute butt. I sent the picture to my boyfriend's phone while he was working at his office today and he LOVED it!!! Although he thinks it's a very commercial day, he appreciated the surprise and he intends to hug me very much this week-end ;)

We also listened to a singer at a seaside coffee house/bookstore and walked along the water at another location.
It was the first Valentine's Day evening I've ever had. All the boyfriends I've had in the past pale in comparison to this man. This is all any of them would have had to do. Simple, romantic walk. He added tea, cake and a rose. It was perfect.

He was so sweet....he was barefoot after wading in freezing cold water to take pictures of me at the waterfall. We had the place to ourselves...which was really nice considering this was my first mermaid photoshoot!
This may sound weird, but here we go. I'm single (and have been the last few Valentine's Days), but I still get about 30 roses, boxes of chocolates, stuffed animals and assorted valentines. And I didn't buy them for myself!
Why?
I'm an elementary school teacher! :-) I must say, though, the BEST valentines are the little notes kids write telling you what you've taught them or why you're a good teacher. It just makes my day!
I know it's a different kind of love, loving my job, but heck ya didn't specify. ;-P

Last year, my first gf had given me a $5 necklace (only know cuz I'd seen them looking at stuffed animals), but the chain was really bad so I lost that. I'd gotten her a red rose and a stuffed puppy that she still has, she always wanted a dog. She has a bf now, and I'm glad she's happy with him now. My first bf and I only dated about 4 months, never made it to Valentines Day. There were issues with his neediness and such. Ah well~ Then my most recent gf and now ex broke up a bit ago, so no Valentines day there. Hmm.. So I spent that time with some friends camping and paintballing over the weekend. Still, it's really nice to be able to see all of your guys' cute relationship stuff and everything. :D
I'm single so I wasn't expecting to get anything for Valentines, but when I went to the kitchen for breakfast on the dining room table was a dark chocolate bar, a card with $50 for my tail fund, and THIS:
