Egypt trip - June 2019

This summer, I was lucky enough to spend a week freediving and mermaiding in the Red Sea. It was honestly a dream come true!

We’re heading back again next year - so if anyone fancies a freediving/mermaiding holiday in Egypt, have a look and get in touch with the organisers!

The trip is run by NoTanx and Mer-Made - both based in the uk. International mers are welcome to join us and make their own travel arrangements.

where in the red sea did you stay?
I'm looking at moving to Sharm or Dahab for a year of training

I loved it. I really can’t wait to go back.

As well as tail swimming, I have to admit I fell in love with stereofinning while I was there too. [emoji87][emoji85]

We saw puffer fish, lion fish, pipe fish, baby black tip reef sharks, turtles, dolphins... and we did a night dive where we turned off the torches at one point, and you could see the bioluminescent plankton if you moved your hands and fins fast enough in the water. It looked like little underwater fireflies.

I think there are still a few places left if anyone’s interested!
