Mine was in my mom's friend's freezing cold pool. I think I was like eight in my pink fin fun.

In my pool with a tail that was too short, and kept pulling off my rear end. But I had no trouble swimming.

I cried happy tears.

I finally got my first tail Wednesday so I can't wait to try it

IN a black spandex tail I had sewn myself, with a pair of bi-fins in the fluke because I couldn't afford a monofin. It was on a camping trip on Mt. Hood with some friends, and we were camping on the shore of the lake. The breeze was cold, but the water was warm so it was very hard to get out of the lake at the end of the day xD I had a blast, but my lovely fluke shake stuck to the bi-fins and had no rigidity, so I immediately went home and looked for a way to stiffen it up.

In a pool at a meet. Extremely pleasant!

Mine was at a very very shallow beach where I hardly had enough water to swim properly but, it was completely amazing and I loved every second of it!

I just got home from my first swim and I must say it was so magical!!! I swam effortlessly through the water and felt in my natural habitat! It was in my FinFun tail and I could not be any happier

It was in a friend's above ground pool. I slipped on my little Ariel Magictail and took to the water. It was amazing.

In a homemade tail that was poorly sewn by me along with a monofin held together with duct tape at a ymca before they banned tails, it started raining an hour or so later

I was otw home to Chicago from Colorado and stopped at a hotel in Kansas city for the night, and they had a BROMINE pool!! Very clean and doesn't hurt your eyes like chlorine, but I learned how to open my eyes underwater! I had my Mertailor Whale Shark skin and it was absolutely amazing!

At my engagement photoshoot, which we did underwater. I'd practised with my monofin and my then fiancée needed some coaching, but we nailed it.

Mine was years ago in a spandex tail that I sew from tights and extra spandex material, I painted it purple with metallic fabric paint and beads for sparkle. It had no monofin but I made fins and a foot pocket out of tooling leather. It had barely any propulsion and I almost drowned but I was the happiest guppy ever.

Embarrassing. Everyone was staring, even the lifeguards!

But don't worry, after awhile everyone gets used to it, even the regular lap swimmers.

I felt really awkward walking into the local YMCA with my tail, but once I was in the water, all of my inhibitions vanished.

I took it to the local pool! They wouldn't let me in with it at first, haha. But after some talking (our community is very small, few people stop by - plus, they knew me) they agreed to just keep a careful eye out. That first swim...wow. It was probably one the best feelings I've ever experienced, I simply cannot put words to it.

It was at 7 PM, on a beach, around a dock, in secret. Nobody knew i had a tail, so i swam at a time when the water was opaque enough so no one could see the BIG BLUE FISHTAIL WHERE MY BUTT WAS SUPPOUSED TO BE xD

It was cool, but it only lasted 15 minutes cause it got dark pretty quickly. None the less, awesome

I brought my poorly designed mermaid tail to the neighborhood pool to test it out. I didn't leave it open at the bottom so there was too much drag, I was basically swimming in place, ha ha.

My first proper swim was earlier this month. Got my FinFun in the mail and took it to the gym pool to try it out. So much better!
