Thread: Rock star wigs?

  1. #21
I haven't ever swam in a wig so. I can't speak to that, however just a reminder that when it comes to human hair it might not be ethically sourced.

The lace front blends into your skin and it looks like the hair is coming out of your scalp rather than the hard line of a regular wig. You want the lace.

Lace front just means that it has a more natural look when you put it on, it blends in with your natural skin tone to look like real hair. You have to use a glue to keep it on, and not all stand up to heavy water use. I would suggest Pros aide, and the appropriate remover. I'm going to also agree with arda, I have quite a few wigs from them and all of them are fantastic. The only thing is if you are using it underwater chances are it will tangle easier so definitely do your research on care.

I don't know what's the English word, but i work with wigs. You could say i am a wig specialist. My clients are people who are bald from Alopecia or Chemo-therapy. If i may advice you... Go with a synthetic lace front wig. It gives that nice natural look because the lace is very thin. But remember very thin, means very fragile, so handle with care. For both swimming and for the band. Synthetic hair is less warmer than human hair. Normal i woultd'nt recommend synthetic long hair, but since you are not using it every day it's oke. The pro of a synthetic wig is that it stays in its style. Even after you wash it. Also for swimming synthetic hair gives that nice flowy look underwater. They also used that for Splash. Darryl had synthetic hair for the underwater scenes. To detangle them after swimming i would recommend fabric softener.
It is not necessary to glue your wig down. you can use clips to clip it to your own hair. Hope this info is usefull for you
