Do you want this anemone to sting you?
......yes!
My first thought was only, "what's Khal Drogo doing with a pitchfork?".
But seriously, it's cool.
Simply because he looks like someone straight out of Greek mythology, and greek mythology > comics

Aquaman's scale just look like normal tattoos. I would've thought they put more effort into them and made it look realistic.

I think they're meant to be tattoos. A lot of Atlantian depictions have em covered in tribal tattoos.
So, we were talking about this at mermaid brunch today and all the men dislike him and all the girls loved him. Haha I love it
I love him <33

My friend who is so into comics actually complained about the new costume for Aquaman. I pointed out the difference between original comic batman and movie batman. Every hero needs a badass make-over!
I wanna be where the mermaids are, I wanna see, wanna see them twirling
Swimming around with those, What do you call 'em?
Oh, fins.

You gotta love Masters of the Universe in that regard.
Everyone was equally unclothed, regardless of gender
And as if that wasn't enough, Eternia's counterpart Etheria consisted of a bunch of purely female heroines.
With one dude for eye candy (muscled guy playing the harp, yea I can see it LOL).
Hark! T'is the sound o' my loincloth dropping.
I feel really old and nerdy that I only think of Jason Momoa as Ronan from Stargate:Atlantis.
Jason told the director and producer that there was no way he was going blonde
I think he looks awesome and more Poseidon-like. When I think of the Aquaman comic (granted, I haven't read the comics, so there's that) I always remember seeing some blond, Ken-doll with a tan, and it makes me cringe. I think Jason Momoa could make this character bad-ass, and he looks more the way I imagine a super hero from the sea to look - powerful and dangerous and mesmerizing. Not like a wet golden retriever.
