Thread: Performance Spandex Tail

    Performance Spandex Tail

Has anyone purchased one of these? I can't tell if they include a mono-fin or not? Does it come with the fabric off the fluke as shown in the picture? The "sheer triangles" option looks different than the main image. Plus, $143 extra for fabric? 0.o

"The Tail is created with a single pocket for two swimfins to be placed in. This is just like a monofin"

Yeah, I think it's 143$ for the extra chiffon at the bottom.

Wow, that's a steep price for something looking like my grandmother's curtains

It sounds like you have to use your own swim fins with it. That is a pretty ridiculous price for a tail, though I do like the fact that it is "lined".

Since when is "two swim fins just like a monofin"? I've used both a pair of swim fins and a monofin in one of my tails, and let me say the two feel -totally- different.

For that price, you can get a Miami Beach Mermaid tail with a proper monofin. That's the only one I can think of currently, but I'm sure there are others, also have proper monofins and much better prices and styles.

For that price you can take a tail from Mer-tails that looks way better! Check out the official listing of you want an idea of the prices and the different styles of tail

Mernation makes a great custom fabric tail and their customer service is EXCELLENT. It also comes with a monofin.

I just wish I could see more pics of the Mernation tail...I feel like the ones on etsy aren't all that great. Anyone own one?

Aurellia, I know someone who has one. The monofin seems to be lexan with water shoes riveted to it... so not a proper monofin. Looks nice though.

the mernation fabric is being worn by the girl who is last in the line of swimmers. It has extra fabric sparkles off of the fluke

This is the monofin that comes with the mernation fabric tail. I'll admit I have abused the poor thing and it's a champ. The last pic shows how flexible it is.

I have a lexan fin and it swims just fine though it feels a little odd if you're used to 'real' monofins

I have a friend who had the Mertailor fabric tails and she really liked them. I'm not sure what kind of monofin was in it though.
