only just saw this thread, but OMG! this is actually incredible! I can draw at all so designing tails has always been a nightmare so this is like the answer to my prayers XD Cant wait to have a play with it and design some tails =D

So I don't know if I missed this, but how is everyone getting patterns on their tails? I've got the latest version of firefox and I can't see an option for patterns, and some of the colors aren't changing on the tail when I tell them to, but they still show up on the swatches. Am I missing something completely obvious? :s

In the above screenshot you can see that to get a pattern you have to click the check box next to certain areas to get that pattern. To get the color to change to what you want it to be you have to hit the choose button once you pick the color.

Hokay.

So I know it has been a while since an update on this project, and I apologize for that. Life just got really busy for a bit.

Another reason I haven't updated this app is due to how awful the my code was since this is where I taught myself javascript.

So here is the new and improved version of the tail maker.

I know it looks almost exactly the same as before, however I fixed a few bugs, and now you can change the transparency of the patterns instead of just turning them on and off.

NOTE: the transparency doesn't always change, it usually takes a couple of tries to get it to work. This is a documented bug, and the guy working on it will hopefully be releasing a patch to fix it.

Bug aside, do you guys like the transparency slider or should I go back to the check boxes?

Sorry I haven't been updating it, but because of this app I got my first job out of college in Web Development and have had a bit of a sour taste in my mouth from it. So I am not sure I will be updating it any time soon. But if all things go well I might have something new to show off in a few weeks.
