How much were the 8 tails? Curious how much the discount was.

It came to just under 1200 Canadian (and we cost 20% more than USD right now) and that includes shipping. customs fees were 40$
That's after the discount. I'm not sure if I should say how much it was because they may determine it based on a case by case thing... and maybe they don't always offer it lol. So I'll just say if you order in bulk ask if they will offer you a discount. It's pretty standard with a lot of things that the more you buy the more you save.

That's awesome! I showed my bf the picture of Charlie. He saw all the tails and said: Somebody has a problem. Hah! He thought they were all just for you!

you cant switch out the monofin?
You can buy skins without monofins, and monofins without skins too. Or the whole package, of course.
Also, the Magictail monofins fit inside the FinFun skins.

Wow thats a lot of tail!

I just got my second tail skin and tankini set from them in Rio Red.<3

The thin neoprene that they use for the foot pockets does stretch out some after the first couple uses. The holes are only 3 inches long for the pockets but can stretch another two or so inches up to a womens size 10 at the very max. It is easiest on land to slide in one foot at a time, with one finger guiding the heel and another finger holding the middle part between holes to pull it up.

It might be a safe call to hold off on using the clear lexan part of the monofins so it doesn't break while a customer is using it. The black polycarbonate fins are supposed to replace them since they are much more durable and resilant than the preassembled lexan fins.

I'm pretty sure the new inserts are rubber. Stupid question: is polycarbonate rubber?

I'm really not sure they feel like plastic to me. And not that flexible.

hmm... does that mean that it's the same thing, but a stronger lexan? I recall somewhere on the fourm someone said it was rubber.

I got the Malibu Pink tail =D they are comfy as, but, not the greatest swimming with waves =D
    Bring on calmer water!!
Okay, get a grip, get the hang of this flipper,
It's like slipping two feet into one big huge slipper.
I can't believe I can do this and more,
To swim in the sea like I walk on the shore.
Out of my shell not closed up like a clam,
Look out sea, this is me, here I am....

I think the warehouse still has a few pallets worth of preassembled monofins that were made before the new polypropylene replacements were released into mass production, hence the free upgrade that every monofin purchase gets till the lexan ones are gone.

oh yeah meant to say polypropylene instead of polycarbonate. they are made using recycled plastics. http://www.finfunmermaid.com/monofin-insert
