    Peacock Killings in Jacksonville, Florida

Hey everyone peafowl are very near and dear to me, so when I found this story about them being killed in Jacksonville it really made me sad. Here is the article:

If you are in that area please help raise awareness of this and perhaps you or someone you know would be willing to take in some of the peafowl. I am sure you would be able to have them for free if you caught them. Seeing them go to good homes is better than seeing them dead. So if you know someone with a farm or a lot of land and maybe they are into birds, etc let them know about this. It isn't every day you can have a free peafowl AND save its life.

That's really sad. There's a few wild peafowl in my neighborhood that have been here for years. It's kinda cool to look out your window and see a beautiful peacock just hanging out. Gratefully no one has ever behaved violently towards them.
