Eckerö line commercials and ads with mermaids

Eckerö line has apparently done a series of ads and commercials featuring mermaids. I've seen one of the ads already on a nearby bus stop and another one at at train station. The commercials can be viewed on Youtube:

Funnily enough, that's the question I ask myself every time I see someone in a mer-costume. It's one of the first questions that crossed my mind when I saw Eckerö's advertisement the other day (which show the mermaids with their backs turned toward the camera. But the tails didn't seem familiar, so my guess is that they are actresses hired to play the parts rather than people who adopt mermaiding as an occupation and a hobby.)

Made me think of the question: if most average people were out in a boat and spotted a mermaid or merman with their thumb out, would they stop and give them a ride?

1) halfway normal person: of course! and has a blast befriending a mythical species.
2) jerk: no way, except when paid with treasure
3) spearfisher: you need to ask?
4) scientific person: watch Splash.
