So I just got the customs note that my tail is ready to be shipped. To get them to send it I need fill out some forms and send them all my money DX
The form asks for something called a Tariff Number which is a number used by customs to classify what the item being shipped is.
Can anyone help me with that number? What does the mertail count as?

When I ordered my mertailor tail, Customs actually called me, took CC payment over the phone and emailed me a reciept. Give them a tingle, they might do the same for you.
When Finfolk shipped my tail they classed it as swimwear. I suppose it could be classed as a costume piece, too. I'm not sure if there's different taxes for different classifications. You could ask your tail maker what they classed it as, since I'm pretty sure they would have had to note the type of item on the package.Originally Posted by Mermaid Romy

exactly what Annwyn said! I think in Aussie land it helps for tail makers to make up their own MSDS and ship it with the tails. Finfolk said they did that and they stopped having issues with customs holding their tails down under for so long. Hopefully more tail makers get on board. Congrats on your new tail
