Best Beaches?

I've only been living in the UK for a year, and so far have only been to beaches in Suffolk. What are the "best" beaches for mermaiding(meaning safe for swimming, sandy, clean, etc.)?

You mean UK specific, or in Europe overall?

For UK, I guess Cornwall would be nice. Scotland has fantastic beaches too, but they're...a bit chilly.

Yes, UK-specific, sorry for the confusion. We do go to France on occasion, but not often enough to be useful for swimming.

Anywhere Cornwall/ Devon really, I go there quite often as I have family but there are some nice places in Plymouth if you know where to go, I will go find some pics and show you
