Thread: Jesse selling his molds?

    Question Jesse selling his molds?

Saw these pop up in my mermaid tail feed on eBay

Judging by the look and geographical location, I'm guessing those are Jesse's Mermaid Creations molds, two dorsals and a fluke.

i saw those. Was tempted... but out of my price range. I'm starting to get the urge to make tails (for myself and friends only, not going into business)

Shipping is probably intense. That's like, Shipping Wars-stuff right there.

250$ just for a dorsal mold made of plaster seems pretty nuts.

I dunno about that, the price is a little high to me but it honestly isn't that unreasonable IMO— I see people selling plaster molds for things like masks and horns all the time and they often go for well over $100 apiece depending on size and detail. Something as big as these could probably hit the $175—$200 mark, and $250 seems absolutely fair for the fluke.

Though there's that saucy part of me that wonders how long it'll be before someone buys one of these molds, then gets a long string of excuses for why it isn't mailed out yet and then ignored for months on end. :T

At first I thought you were positing that the molds were cursed, then I re-read and realized you were not.

I see no scale mold... did he already sell that, or do you think it got busted and that's why he hasn't made any tails?

DANG IT! I could have had the money if I had kept it from summer! (spent it on food and then on Prismacolor markers.. Markers were awesome though so plus!)

Wow, I'm surprised that the fluke mold is still available. I would have thought it would go before the dorsal so.
