Hey everyone! I'm super new to mermaiding but am so excited to get connected and meet you all.I just wanted to introduce myself on this thread. I'm in Nashville and don't even have a tail yet
but I love swimming, the ocean, and my faith is also really important to me. I think it's so awesome how we all have some pretty similar things in common on here! Do you all have any tips on how to combine mermaiding with your faith and spirituality?

It's different for all of us. Myself, I'm trying to host a Sunday-morning worship service at a new Mermaid convention here in the DC area next winter.
One big thing for a lot of us is a love for the undersea part of His creation. Also, I relate the freedom of underwater swimming (moving in three dimensions) to the joy of a soul set free!!!

I love that so much! I've been really torn about trying out mermaiding because it does seem like a pretty big commitment but it's something that's been on my heart for quite a while. I've just been praying that if it's something God wants for my life then he will open the doors. <3
Your perspective about a soul set free is so beautiful though! I imagine that swimming with a tail feels a bit like flying.
