I'm not sure. I think it might be a little holographic. It's very shimmery.

I took her for a swim last night in a sheltered ocean bay. The water was beautiful! The shallow water made it easy to rest while I was getting the hang of swimming with the tail. I think I'm going to have to take the tail in a bit, as it seems a bit big around the waist and hips (my measurements must have been off), and I might need some neoprene socks to keep the monofin on. I wore regular socks and the heel strap fell off of one foot a couple of times.

All in all though, it was amazing! It was such a wonderful feeling to finally "be" a mermaid!

I determined for sure that the monofin is indeed a Rapid. I had to take it out of the tail and Lulubelle showed me how to remove the monofin (hers is the same monofin). I didn't realize they were so flexible!
