    My friend just got her Ariel dream tail and wore it ONCE, didn’t drag her tail on the bottoms of the pool, wasn’t even swimming for an hour and it has five holes in it already.

    I know. She’s super frustrated. It looked to me like they were where the edges of the vinyl inserts are, so I’m probably gonna end up leaving the insert out of mine.

    I would have her message the finfolk team and let them know, once she has cooled down a bit. Maybe they can assist her in some manner. If not, I am sure there are matching threads and clear nail polish or waterproof clear glue she could use to make the holes disappear and not tear further, as well as some sort of hack to make the insert less sharp.

    She posted in the pod squad and it got taken down, so she emailed them. I told her if they won’t do anything to help, then my advice if color matched upholstery thread and neoprene glue.

    No I didn't think it was really a big deal if the delivery took more than a month until I read this thread. But It seems I haven't even gotten a shipping confirmation. So now I'm kind of confused and worried.

    They weren't able to finish shipping all the tails out before they left for Hawaii (a plan scheduled months before). They're back in studio, in fact trying to move into the warehouse where they will most likely finish shipping out the remaining everything.

    EDIT: And I say in the warehouse, it seems they are now working in some section of it, so they really are in the warehouse now. It's not all finished but its a great start.

    Yup, mine got destroyed on sand. I know the team is well aware this supplier for their neoprene really dropped the ball. Lots and lots of issues with it so I don't think they're using it again.






    I'm not *too* upset because this is why I bought the tail - to take a beating instead of my silicone- but still pretty surprised by how easily it started to shred.

    I'm going to fix it up myself with wetsuit glue and try to repaint it
