NC Mer-Mania 2016

To be fair it'll be three days. On Friday we'll have registration and a mixer at the Sheraton Greensboro, complete with a DJ and karaoke. On Saturday registration will continue, we'll have our 6-hour swim in the wondrous waters of the Greensboro Aquatic Center, during which time we will most likely have vendors and workshops, and then the evening event at the aquarium. On Sunday we'll have another 6-hour swim and I am working on an event for those who are staying through Sunday night.

Ugh I want to cry. It sounds so amazing. In order to make it I'd have to travel during New Years Eve. As a amazing all you mers are, I would have to choose between spending time with my family and going to this meet-up. Hopefully I can attend the next if it's not during a big holiday time.

I have been waiting two weeks before making it official. Now, I can finally share to everyone that I will be a part of MerMania thanks to a generous sponsor!

I've started saving up for the expenses of this amazing event. I will buy my tickets for the admission and the masquerade ball soon. Is there someone willing to share a room with a French merman? I will be there from Friday to Monday.

I just reserved my room and a spot in the Mer-Media workshop! So excited! I'll be making the 15 hour drive down from KC, MO with my mertender/sailor (also named Shawn, coincidentally Raina!) and a fellow mermaid. A bit worried about the drive new years eve with the drunks and the weather...but we'll figure it out I'm sure =D
