Color schemes dilemma

Greetings and salutations!

I am about to embark on my first ever tail creation, and I am very excited. I'm gathering my materials, and my pictures, and my will to do it! So here is my problem, which is not a new one for anyone here. Color choice. I've at long last narrowed it down to three general themes.

One:

pearlescent whitish, with bioluminescent undertones.

Pro:
unusual, dragony, badassly cool.

Con:
Not as interesting to look at during the day, limited marketability for mermaid gigs, and it may never be white again after one georgia river swim, so I probably could only use it in a pool setting.

2:

Green/brown natural

Pro:
appropriate for a Georgia freshwater mermaid, more natural looking for swimming in rivers and lakes, not sure on the mermaid gig marketability.

Cons:
Again, might not look as interesting out of the water as some others might.

Peacock colors

Pro:
Beautiful dry and wet, probably the best sellability

Con:
most stereotypical, may not stand out as much in the mermaid gig market

What about green with pearlescent white stripes? You could research some freshwater fish native to Georgia to get some ideas.

What is this tail going to be made out of?

i am a fairly milky person. I am sun sensitive, so I stay in the shade most of the time. That's an intriguing angle. Do you think that would be popular? I'm making this tail for me, of course. I will be paying for it and laboring over it. But I would like to be able to make some of my money back, too, you know?

Yarn with a scale overlay. It's an experiment.

The colorful tails will be more appealing to children if you are thinking about mermaid parties. The Albino look would be a bit ethereal and unique but probably more appreciated by teens and adults.

The green one is clearly Ariel so getting that and marketing it, should not be a problem since most children identify the green to be Ariel

The only mermaid I know of who's tail causes issues for gigs has a very bold striped-banded tail. I don't think color actually has too much of an effect. Because most people don't see too many options when booking gigs. Do what you think will be most pretty or fun for you.

Be careful with that. Use a nylon yarn perhaps?

Oh! You could maybe use the big she'll sequins for the scales? They have a ton of color options. You would have to punch your own hole though.

Do water tests to see how much it absorbs. I don't know much about yard but I know when making a fabric tail you need a nylon, or nylon spandex mix.
