I am preparing to soon open my store - Ocean Heart, which will be selling mer tops and accessories. However I wanted to first want to see what everymer thinks.
I am offering three designs to be made at cost (only paying for materials) in exchange for a review of the product and a photo of you wearing it. Each design will also include the matching accessories as pictured for no extra cost, just to complete the look... If anymer is interested in a design other than the following three sketches feel free to message me.
First, for the mermen. Not all of you bother wearing tops as mermen but this is for the mere who would like to, for a gig or general modesty. This design could also work as a more modest mermaid top if no mermen are interested.
Made with netting and wrapped in seaweed, with a starfish friend or two...
Next for the freshwater mers. I was inspired by illustrations of water sprites in an Emily Rodda children's book. I feel this would be a lovely and more modest option for the freshwater and marsh mer.
With tendrils of flowing water plants and a lily in the hair...
Finally, for the more adventurous mer, like the shipwreck explorer mersona of my friend, this top was inspired by the sail dress from Disney's Little Mermaid. For a mer who looks collecting human things, or a siren repurposing the spoils of her latest conquest. Made of an old sail (not really) and bound in rope, this top also includes the classic dinglehopper in the form of a bracelet...
