Finis Duo Underwater MP3 Player

I receive emails from Finis, and today I was sent this beautiful gem! I have never seen this before but I am extremely interested as I love involving music with everything I do. I have worked on photoshoots before and often models enjoy listening to music to help set their mood and attitude for the shoot. I was thinking this would be great for underwater photoshoots so mers can really swim to the music and capture the emotion that they are looking for, and it would only take a little bit of editing

What do you guys think about it? I am definitely thinking about this as a birthday gift soon...

I don't have that model, but I have an older model (the swimp3 player) and I absolutely love it! The sound is nice and clear when you're underwater. That's because it conducts the sound through your cheek bones into your ear, which is really awesome! My favorite way to de-stress is to go swimming with the music player ^_^ Especially at night in out door swimming pools in a pool that has lights.. oh my gosh, just magical!

Iona, it sounds like it would just be a dream to swim with. Now, does it only play music for the person who is wearing it because of the bone audio system, or can other people hear it as well? I assume the two models would be very similar in how they transmit sound

It's just for the one person. You can crank it up all the way and kind of hear it without wearing it, but not from more than a few feet. Ooh! Not tried one of these but have a Sony underwater MP3 player which I can also highly recommend... Assuming mine hasn't got squidged in the mad house move, I'll be taking it with me when I go practice swimming
