    Do we have a Facebook or Meet-Up group for this region? Or other similar platform? Does this region have occasional events?

    There are quite a few! I'm in the Oregon region and there is The Merfolk Pod of the North Pacific for that whole region, and for local meet ups there is the Portlandia Merfolk Pod.
