Holy Carp, I finally finished it!
Let me post a few pictures, let it sink in for a moment, let me gather my thoughts, while you look her over.
Okay, I can do this.
Deep Breath.
AMGSHESFINALLYDONEYEAH!!!!
I have been working on this tail for about the last two years. It has been the LONGEST I have worked on a tail, ever. The reason it took so long are varied and numerous (I mention some in the video below), and I am just eternally grateful that the mermaid who is receiving this tail has been patient and understanding.
I don't usually make tails for other people, and even though I have done this tail for someone else I am not too sure about doing another one. Mostly because of time and I do not think anyone else would be that patient for a cloth tail.
So, who is the mermaid that is getting the tail? I said in my video that I would mention it here, and in case you skipped a head to watch it instead of reading this then came back to the reading, it will be a surprise! If you just read it, well, you will see here in a moment. I hope I am doing a good enough job of stalling and building up the antici............... pation for who the tail is for.
Any guesses? No cheating! No asking Raina, since she knows... Iona knows too.
Anyone else?
All right, here we go.
So a long while back, I was approached by a mermaid who is famous for her silicone tails and asked if I would make her a cloth one for when she practices outside of her silicone tails; something beautiful and something light weight. The bonus of cloth tails, am I right? Easy to get on, light weight (though we know silicone is neutral in water), and still can look great. Though I don't usually make tails for other people, I could not turn this person away. After some talking, exchanging of photos, and measurements, I sketched out a plan and got to work on this tail that I have called the Emerald Queen for Mermaid Raven.

I am so honored to have made this and I am so very happy with how it turned out. It was a long, winding road, and there were times I was overcome with anxiety and guilt about not having finished it by my personally set deadlines due to work and school, but now it is done! I just need to heat treat it, write up a little letter, then I can package it and I will ship her out tomorrow.
And here is me being an idiot and showing you how the tail looks on video:
