    I think the thing is even if someone can't go full-on vegan or vegetarian, even eating LESS meat/animal products is a very good thing for the planet. If you don't want to go vegan/vegetarian yet, I encourage people to try doing Meatless Mondays and eating vegan/vegetarian one day a week.

    Here's the thing about the "animals have a mother" argument: it's not going to convince a lot of people (like me) who aren't that sentimental. I'm much more convinced by arguments against cruelty and for kind, responsible treatment of animals, and by the data-driven arguments against feedlots and impact on the environment. So having a multi-pronged approach is the best way to reach more people, especially those with a different life experience than yours.
