    So here is my wedding mermaid. I decided to go with a Victorian style because my cousin who's engaged loves victorian and steampunk. I might go over it in ink, but I am happy with it so far.

    My mom always said her kids must be part fish... apparently she was right!

    Thanks. I'm actually not very patient with detailed drawing usually, but it was worth it.

    I was thinking an island theme, which sounds like typical mermaid, but if you think about it... Irish mermaid, Puerto Rican mermaid, Japanese mermaid? Lots of variety of islands!

    That sorta sounds like a country theme :P been wanting to see different tails inspired by different cultures.
    I've been sorta busy lately so I haven't even drawn up a sketch yet. I'll give it until

    Aborting mission. Aborting mission.
    My body is too sore and I haven't gotten out of bed yet. I was at a gig yesterday for 5 hours in a tail and the kids wanted me to keep flipping my tail. And my my entire lower body is pulsing in pain ;-;
    so instead of a drawing of a tail design inspired by spring... I have a shelfie with Walter Gretzky.. Yes, Wayne gretzkys father.

    Onto the next challenge design a tail inspired by your background (race, religion, culture, blood origins, where you live... Etc)

    So... I was going to draw an Australian aboriginal mermaid since my great great grandmother lived in Australia, but it was hard, so I tried to draw a cool Jamaican mermaid idea I had. Apparently I suck at drawing any other races! Like it's so bad it would be offensive to the people I was trying to portray! So I haven't come up with a drawing for the new challenge yet. lol
