Thank you!
It definitely took a lot of patience and a lot of trial and error
Oh my gosh! You've done a wonderful job! I've made small pieces of chain maille, but this is incredible!

Cool! Clever AND gorgeous!
Side note: there really ought to be a thread named, "Cats react to mermaid tails!" because some people's kitties have the funniest expressions checking out our tails.
Holy Carp! that is amazing! Is it heavy?
Blanket Thank You to everyone!
Saelyyia, I was very pleased with the way it looks in photographs, I wasn't sure how well the shine and individual scales would show up
Mermaid Arabella, THE SHININESS WAS VERY PLEASING
Mermaid Lorelei, Totally not odd at all, scale maille is strangely fun to pet. Many people asked me to do so
Calizaire, the thread would be amazing, cats and tails are a beautiful combination!
Ashton, I haven't measured exactly, but I'd say probably 10-15 pounds. I went with aluminum because steel probably would have weighed me into the ground...
That was smart to make it out of a lighter weighted material.
Maybe someday I'll play with steel. I do like that its not quite as dirty as aluminum tends to be
