In this thread you can follow along with the progress I make on a sequin clownfish tails I'm making for one of my mersisters.
These are the sequins that are being used.
Gold:
20mm, 8 packs of 250 sequins
Silver:
20mm, 8 packs of 250 sequins
Black:
40mm, 4 packs of 150 sequins.
The girl I'm making it for bought these. I'm curious to find out if it will be enough.
Progress of today, I went from this (made by the mersisters whom the tail is for)

I might not seem like mutch but I needed some time to test the best way to attach the sequins.
I also opened up the side seams, it's way easier to work that way

Hello! How many sequins and what size are you using for the whole tail?
It are different sizes, the girl I'm making it for bought these, she is also following this thread, so Apollonia, if you read this, can you answer this question?

And I also hope to make a sequin tail for myself one day, but first I need to finish this tail and my own silicone tail

Progress of sewing for 1.5 hours today, I sewing them individually on with my sewing machine. I'll be adding a lining in the end so it will feel nice to wear. The only thing I'm unsure about right now is how I will be able to finish the waistline in a nice way while sewing on sequins.

In total I spended 4h working on this tail today. I track my time on toggl to find out how much time I'm actually spending on this tail. So after 4h, this is the result

It was a Friday morn when we set sail
And we were not far from the land
When our captain, he spied a fishy mermaid
With a comb and a glass in her hand
Some more progress. It's starting to look like an actual tail. Love it! There is a zip in the back so I will continue to stitch the front and back individually untill I reach the zipper. Then I close the seams and continue sewing from one side of the zipper to the other. Hopefully it will work out great 😇 can't wait to work on it again tomorrow
