Unhappy Anyone around Brisbane know of a pool that will allow a tail? Even a monofin???

I am seriously struggling to find anywhere here that will allow use of my monofin, let alone my entire tail. It's really starting to get me down. I have been using my MiL's backyard pool, but coming into winter, it isn't exactly the best option! And it isn't huge either! If anyone knows of anywhere, I am all fins!

It was a Friday morn when we set sail
And we were not far from the land
When our captain, he spied a fishy mermaid
With a comb and a glass in her hand

Not sure if it's at all close to you but the staff at the UQ pool were lovely when I called to ask about swimming in a tail. They even offered us a lane to ourselves when we got there.

It's close enough! I spoke to Ashley at UQ yesterday who said I would have to check with the manager (Jae). How long ago did you ask? And also, yay for another Mer in BNE!!!!

This was last year some time, so it's possible their policies have changed. I hope not, though! The only downside to that pool is that it's heavily chlorinated, so my eyes were pretty sore after a few hours swimming.

Most pools that are council owned allow monofins and usually allow tails. As Kelda said UQ pool is an option if they havent changed policies.

I have tried the council pools and they have all said no. Super frustrating!

The ones I have tried are all BBC poils. Maybe if I try the outer suburb ones? Do you have any in particular that you use Jamie?

    Awesome that they said yes

I think from what I've heard so far from other mers, Queensland seems to be the least affected state from the pool bans, so there would be quite a few pools I imagine that allow tail swimming.

Also the South Bank artificial beach is fine with tails (at least last time we were there) it's usually where we have our mermaid meetups when people come to visit haha
