Assateague would be cool! I wouldn't be able to go, but it would still be awesome!

and bring the mermaid craze to sleepy old Bakersfield
Little Sailor, Little fool, your better heed the golden rule
do unto other just as you, would like to to have them do to you
you think you can just walk away, but no, it doesn't work that way
see once your mine, your'll always be
I never give anything for free...
In any case, a mermaid camping trip would be fun I think

I try to go here almost every summer!
HUGE beautiful pool and a wonderful
nearly waveless/jellyfish-less beach!

I'm in DC now Went to the Baltimore National Aquarium again. That place is still awesome and I got some great new ideas to apply to my mermaiding. Also heard that they stopped doing dolphin shows and are opting for a new kind of experience, which is pretty exciting. That aquarium and the one in NY are definitely my top two on the east coast.
^ Lucky! I have begging my dad forever to take me their for the new exibits! Glad to here you enjoyed it

Ooh, what kind of show are they replacing the dolphin show with? Did they give any hints??
^ Maybe it's a mermaid show! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

You know, I've always wanted to swim in the sting ray tank. That would be the thing.
^ That would be wonderful!

Oh they've already started, but it's sort of like, in the tentative, trying-to-see-how-it-works kind of phase. The dolphins are still there, but it's just that instead of an animal show where they are doing tricks, it's more educational, and getting close/personal with the animals. They share how they train them and how they act in the wild and stuff like that. They were doing something special for the school kids visiting while I was there so I never got to see what it was really like and just got a description of the kinds of stuff they are trying to do when talking to one of the volunteers.
Shame you didn't get to see it. What sort of vibes were you getting from it?
I think they were just being careful and experimental with it. The schoolkids I saw seemed pretty excited, but the particular volunteer I was talking to didn't seem so sure. Like, she was enthusiastic about the change, but I'm not sure if she really approved of the execution. She wasn't the one hosting the program/show though, and was just there to answer questions specifically about the dolphins.
Hey everyone, just wanted to say I'll be in this pod until Augest 19.
Formerly known as Mermaid Serinessa
My family will be at Topsail Beach, NC the first week in August. With luck, I will have a tail by then and might be able to take a dip in the Atlantic.
Is this idea still afloat for mermaid swimming I love to meet up.
