Sculpting a fluke - thickness? Tips?

    Hi everyone,

I sculpted af fluke, but now I made some pulls (it's a fluke in severals parts) I do find them pretty thin. So my question for other mers who sculpted their own flukes before, how thick did sculpt then. if there are several heights, how high is the lowest part, and how high is the highest?

I also find it pretty difficult to make the fluke leveled. Did you have an tricks to keep it leveled? I was thinking about buying a pasta maker so I can make long strips of the same hight.

    Any other tips are welcome.

    Thank you so much!

This is my fluke in the works now, but it's super thin in some places. It will work out fine I the end but my next fluke will be thicker.

I'm not seeing any pictures showing up.

What kind of clay are you using? As for getting the pieces you have a bit thicker, you can spread additional thin layers onto the back until you build it up to your desired thickness. It's actually easier to start off with thinner layers and add more until you get precisely the thickness you want, rather than pouring it too thick the first time because you won't be able to shave it down to make it thinner.

This is the picture I forgot to include.

Thanks for the tips I find it hard to imagine how a sculpt will look in silicone. Since a sculpt is stable and the silicone not. I guess I just need some more experience.

I'm using club Norris plasticine to make the sculpt.
