Woohoo!
Also changed the color scheme but all the previous ones will be realized in due time for now this the one I’m going with as a tribute to my first silicone tail.

Although I made this fin for a tail commission it’s based on the fins I originally intended for this tail so I’m also using them on my tail there fore I post pics . close up.

These pectorals were designed for this tail but are being tested on my first tail commission, here I am making sure the sides are perfectly mirrored images of eacother

[QUOTE=Marinus Mortimer;285308]Girl tell me about it I've been plundering ideas on how i will manually transport this tail from place to place because it WILL be HEAVY as HELL my best idea so far is to implement the way bike taxis are made with the thing in the back where people sit well something like that but to transport my tail while on a car well still figuring that out probably tied to the roof top if thats even legal in the USA cause in Puerto Rico people be moving and taking mad stuff on the roof of their cars like the mattress and stuff like that, i mean people have bikes mounted on their roofs maybe i can modify one of those things so that i wont be breaking the law by having my tail up there for long distance travels...
Mortimer, I don't know if it'll help, but I transport mine in a canvas "Christmas tree tote" with wheels I custom cut a sheet of 1/2in play for support and keeping the tail from dragging. There's enough extra room that you could probably do it with an extended tail.
When you're caught and find yourself tossed back,
take advantage of the motion, and catch the next wave!

That’s actually a good idea for short distance travel! Thanks a lot!

It’s been a few months since I’ve checked on your progress and WOW I’m floored... All of your work is so pretty...
Also it’s totally legal to put stuff on top of your car in the states. I’d put your tail in a roof bag or something like that so it doesn’t get any wind or sun damage.

It’s beautiful! I love ur cartoon ..how’d u do that?
You are an extremely talented artist. Bravo mate! Love seeing your updates.
It's looking so great Marinus!
I bought the lexan but have no power cutting tools so playing it safe and saving it for my next refined extended tail this is a prototype, I recycled an old rapid which is cut to shape.
I wanted to sculpt then cast the tails but I need more exp points for that so I will build up to the desired thickness up layering silicone, afterwards I’ll scale the tail and add fins .
I’ve set the dead line date on the current tail I’m making to 2 weeks from now so after I finish my attention falls back here

Can someone please get me back to the ocean before I suffocate... I need the water......
OMG, I can’t believe I’ve never seen this! It’s beautiful! A successful extended tail, and its for sale on their website!
It’s in French, it says that the fluke is translucent, the heels are perfectly hidden, the tail is actually completely silicone, no fabric whatsoever:

It’s €3990/$4642 but the site says you do need to physically visit their workshop so they can mold you and get a perfect fit.
Anyone up for a trip to Toulouse, France?
