Ooo! Big scales!
Not many tail makers do big scales, and looking at it here, they do look really nice! A proper grown up tail instead of the mini baby scales that everyone does.

Thank you Jaffa.
I love the Asia arrowana fish and these scales are an attempt at that, plus I use individual scales image usin baby scales on this huge extended tail it would take me forever just to scale it.
I have four sizes of this scale type for seamless pattern and because they should be smaller towards waist line as those are “new growth”.
I’m looking forward to sharing more with you all in the coming weeks.
* Disclaimer * I will most likely will not be adding my markings to this tail as it is the prototype, I plan on a nice blue coloration.
Like the mako mermen tail just blues.

Yesssssss finally able to upload a picture here ! FYI the tail is empty but the thickness makes it hold it’s shape. If your wondering foot pocket area is more or less where the dorsal fin is.

I’m undecided as for fin placement not sure if I’ll do a dorsal and call it or if I wanna do side fins and pectoral fins omg

IMPRESSIVE.......... CONGRATULATIONS. ALL YOUR YEARS OFF HARD WORK PAID OFF It looks really good, you wont even see the outline of your feet once its scaled. I relocated and haven't been on here in 2 years. Once i moved I never had the funds to complete mine, but i haven't given up.
Can someone please get me back to the ocean before I suffocate... I need the water......
Yeeeees brother never give up! Is so glad to see you post on this thread 🪡 it’s been years of planing and discussion on here and now I’m finally finishing up the scaling process! This supper I’ll have lots of content for this thread and the photo shoot tread

Awwe thank you so much! Ever since I saw the fist extended tail by JMBFX Studios I was so in love I immediately began trying to reverse engineer it in my head and researching it’s been more than five years since I first started and now I’m finally seeing Dawn again after many long nights of testing and planning and building I am so proud 🥲

Decided to add fins last minute so these aren’t as detailed as they could be and will be on the 2.0 to come next. Now figuring out how to make it more travel friendly
