you may not be able to find them at home depot as they are medical, however they could be ordered online. ebay.
Can someone please get me back to the ocean before I suffocate... I need the water......
I found they have something similar or the same used to seal broken pipes and stuff
Not this one exactly but something like it could work?

Ok just had a look at the brand. as it didn't state it was fiberglass. yes this will work just fine
couple of things to remember. with water activated fiberglass you usually can only use it once. meaning once air gets to it, it will harden. found this out BTW. so when you wrap your legs, wrap in ONLY one layer otherwise you won't be able to cut yourself out. cut STRAIGHT down the centre of your legs (FRONT) I find this the best way as it make it easier to seam.
line the seam up, wrap some twine around the model and tie up gently. this will keep the model from dis-forming when you are putting in your foam. I found that you only need a bit as it expands 2X the original size.

Ok , i was thinking that instead of closing it completely i would leave a line about one mm wide, open so that i can slip out, a good example of this is shown in the head mold video above where the guy leaves an open line down the back in order to liberate his head then seals it up after with more plaster bandages in my case it would be this fiberglass tape, i think that could work? Cause i dont trust no electric saw cutting anywhere near the family gems lol. And about the dis-forming of the mold ill be practicing with the foam on the tape dummy first cause im lazy if it works I'll probably keep it and store the fiberglass i get for another occasion cause all the kelp i got is my mom and she may not be so accurate especially with something like fiberglass lol.
Thanks for the advice Trident !

One layer of fiberglass bandage is easy to cut with a pair of scissors. its up to you what you desire to do

you can just keep on going and going until you get it to perfection..... the thing is you have to draw the line somewhere. it looks fine as it is. it's going to be interesting to watch your ideas on your extension. fortunately i will be working on mine tomorrow, funds get it the way of me completing it and LIFE.

I know if perfection is what i seek ill never finish! Yessss once i finish this sculpting chapter ill be buying the lexan for the extension because ill need to know how much ill hace to sculpt for my tail body im thinking it wont be too long of an extension just about 9-10 inches from the back of my feet to fluke base or tail end. I cant wait to see your updates bro and i know life can be a bitch sometimes but she is also rewarding to those who persevere!

Hope all goes well brother.
Well theres a sight chance ill be moving soon so im multitasking with finishing my fluke sculpt and assembling and painting my fabric tail for the meet up and mermaid parade on Coney Island this June or is it June already? Who knows, any how this is the first area to me finished im extremely happy at how it turned out as it was difficult using the plastic im a big area but my ingenuity helped me out.
Heres the result...

Its so hard to keep a steady hand while making the long lines so i listen to Native American Flute music its very soothing.
Here's another picture but of the whole line so yall can see the imperfections that i am trying to ignore... : proceeds to pull my go-tee off my face:

It's looking great, I like lots of pictures so keep them coming. No worries about photo overloading, it's a good thing when making big projects like this. I could share photos of when I sculpted a bust years ago :/ ... It's helpful for when and if you ever have to redo it, you have photo documentation of what you did to help.
As for imperfections you are trying to ignore... Only you will ever know they are there, I don't think anyone else will ever notice. It is looking beautiful!
