    Merleece's tails...

    So here I am...
My first tail - got this through Splashtails over East (Australia), they import The2Tails goods. It's pretty manoeuvrable and zippy. This is in Mandurah estuary.

Rob and I decided to "splash" out before the GST on imports hit and got ourselves Swimtail Pros. Apart from the anticipated Mahinas rubbing as we forgot our socks, they've been awesome. I had to have mine taken in a bit, the sizing was generous - would've been a perfect fit for non stretch material. I love the top!

Thank you MerFantasy. I am speculating about dressing up the green one, I'd love some lateral fins and a dorsal one too, or a dorsal crest/fringe, but I'm not one of nature's sewing people and I've never done any of this sort of crafting. So I'm hoping my husband, who IS one of Nature's sewing people, can take a look.

Thank you so so much! I was nervous about being teased for being a guy in a tail. And I have been teased a handful of times, but I have gotten more compliments than complaints. I also find safety in numbers lol! I usually don't swim by myself. I feel like once I get my silicone tail though with how much $$ I am spending on it I better get a ton of use out of it lol!

I went to my first mermeetup with the NYC pod at Coney Island. So now I have my first pictures in my orange tail with the new fluke!

You sound full of it, dear. Picked up a dictionary to make yourself look like a hero rather than just looking for a handout. I don’t trust you.

Yeah, sorry, it’s just someone who claims to be altruistic is obviously out for their own gain. As a mer who has struggled with depression and suicidal ideologies my whole life, it boils my blood to see someone use real sufferers as an excuse for personal profit. But yeah, I digress.

In relevant news, I’m working on my first tail after lurking the forums for several years, I should soon have the funds for neoprene. I’m planning on using sequins for scales, so wait for it! I’ve already made my jewelry.

Any ideas how to take a pic underwater of you and your tail? I've tried and I can't get it.

I was planning on buying a waterproof case/bag for my phone to record myself with a selfie stick, LoL.
Actually, you could use some bubble wrap to float on the surface and cut a tiny hole for the camera lens, so your camera could float above you while you pose. That could look really cool.

It does that with its case on and then I have to swim all weird around the pool. Selfie stick doesn't sound too bad to be honest

It's best if someone else helps! If you were here, MerFantasy my husband and I would be mer-paparazzi around you. We both little Olympus underwater cameras, drybags for our phones, and a couple of 360degree cameras with underwater housings.

That is true, means more time for me in the fin then them. But I still would like my sis to try it before she knocks this off as childish...

Well, if you can get yourselves Olympus TG4 camera, I recommend them to the mer on the go. The TG5 is the most recent model, but may be wait until it gets cheaper.
