Finfolk's New Tails!

I just now saw those iridescent scales...Oh man... I need to do something in life that makes me feel like I deserve such a tail...Maybe someday...They are so gorgeous I really can't wait to see what the full iridescent tail looks like!

For those concerned with the length of the Mythic tails, I'm 5'5 and I think that the tail could be longer, it just reaches my hips nicely.. I thought it would be a bit higher up my waist. I think that the mythic tails were made for around the 5'4 to 5'6 hight range.

Also, if you want to see someone swimming for the first time in a Mythic tail (having never owned another tail) I uploaded the video I footage I recorded from the GoPro to YouTube. Sorry about how shaky it is, it was one of my first times swimming and first time using a GoPro too.
I feel like the Mythic tails are so easy and natural to swim in it just felt really good.

Here's my swim review with other Mythic mers at Mermania.

I know before I was put off by the spacing, but in the water it doesn't matter. I'm also going to see if they're able to add the fin upgrade while they have it in the shop for repairs.

So far I'm a happy customer! And like Raina said, it's SO good to go for a swim without lubing up from time to time lol

It shows off how the tail moves underwater really well!
I was worried about buying one due to the scales 'shifting' so much but they don't move while in the water by the looks of things!
It's making me more and more tempted to buy one (when they become available again)

Im always so impressed with FinFolk , and I bet these new Iridescent tails will be even better than the first Mythic release!
I love the way they shift colors , and I think Ariel Green and Artic Blue are my favorites <3
I wish I wasn't a kid lol. I would stay up all night just to order one if I had the experience and money haha.

So I read this entire thread last night, as I'm really interested in getting one of the iridescent tails when they do another pre order this summer. But I've been looking at the sizing and I think I'm probably going to need a medium, but in a tall!! It looks like they only released the tall size in XS/Small during the last pre order. I left a comment on one of their FB posts asking if they'll be releasing more tall sizes so maybe I'll get an answer that way. My waist to feet measurement is more like 43" and the regular sized tails are only up to 40.5 so that's quite a difference.

I'm really curious to know how the second wave of tails turns out! Looking forward to seeing everyone's posts in July when they go out!

Hey mers any new news on the monofin sizes? The last I read they said that small tail sizes will have smaller monofin foot sizes. The problem with that is I would be a size XS but I wear 9 - 10 size shoes. Just curious if when you check out you get the option to list your shoe size or anything like that...??

They sold out within 10 minutes after release!! It was silly!!
I so wish I had snagged one but I'll wait for the next release in a few months

Mostly yeah!! I think they set some aside for the public but it wasn't as many as for the pod. There were so many pod members who missed out. Myself included

What are the scales made out of? I haven't seen one of these in person. I believe the fabric under the scales is neoprene.

I heard the scales are made of resin. The fluke is made of silicone.

Resin. They are resin scales sewn onto the neoprene base.

I saw it said resin on their website but I thought it was talking about the casting lol. I'm worried that the resin scales will break easily. The tails are really pretty though.
